About the game Snakes And Ladders

Snakes and Ladders is a game known in Poland under the literally translated title - Węże i Ladders. It is an extremely simple game where you can spend many hours both with friends and family. To be able to play it, you do not need to have any special skills or spend several minutes learning the rules (which is sometimes not enough anyway). All you need is at least two people and... a positive attitude!

Although even if you don't own the latter, it's likely to pop up quickly during gameplay. Two to five people can participate in this. All of them can play on one computer, but if you can't find anyone willing to play among your friends or family members, you might as well connect with other players over the network.

And what is fun in Snakes and Ladders? Each player chooses the color of his pawns, and then all pawns go to the board, to the zero position. Players take turns rolling the dice. The number of pips they throw determines how many squares forward their pawns can move in a given turn. In total, there are a hundred squares to go, but to reach the finish line, it is not enough to simply roll a six 16 times and a four once.

And that's because the titular snakes and ladders are waiting for us on the road. If we come across a square with a snake on the prowl, we have to go back more or less squares. At best, go back a few, and at worst - even a few dozen. However, you can also be luckier and land on a square with a ladder. Then we can move forward the designated number of squares. As in the case of snakes, it can be a move of several or even several dozen places.

Snakes and Ladders can provide a lot of emotions. Sometimes a player who is already close to the finish can fall to last place at the last moment, and a player who was at the bottom can get lucky and land in the leader position in the blink of an eye.
