Rules of Tripeaks Solitaire

Game lovers are divided into those who always choose safe classics, and those who are eager to test the constantly appearing novelties or curiosities. If you belong to the second group, you probably already know the classic puzzles well and it's time for something fresher - for example Tripeaks solitaire, something for lovers of mountain trips (and not only).

Tripeaks Solitaire Game Rules - The Most Important Rules

You only need one deck for it, so it's great not only for online, where you have countless stacks of cards at your disposal, but also for live play, even when you have a single set. Start with an effective arrangement, and then get involved in the vortex of composing the appropriate components together. See how addictive it is!

Tripeaks Solitaire , also known in the Polish version as Trzy Szczyty, is a standalone game in which the goal is to disassemble the initial layout and collect it on the so-called base pile, usually located at the bottom of the table (or screen). Contrary to traditional puzzles, the order of folded cards does not matter here, at least when it comes to the effect - the deck will be sorted in its own way, and how? You will find out below!

What are the rules of Tripeaks Solitaire?

The initial layout of the cards will clear up the title of the game immediately - Tripeaks solitaire starts with three evenly arranged pyramids, made of cards, of course. The bases are directed towards you, and branch into parts higher up. Do you see this similarity already? Become a skilled mountaineer and climb to the heights of your intellectual abilities, skillfully combining and maneuvering the cards at your disposal.

In addition to them, on the finished table (or screen) there is also a fan or a pile of additional cards, helpful (and even necessary!) In this puzzle. There are exactly 23 of them, so if you are just unfolding the deck and the number turns out to be different, be sure to count the whole thing again. Importantly, almost all cards - both those that make up the mountains and those in the bank - have their backs facing you, except for the last element in the row (and the penultimate one from the reserve). There will be a total of ten cards at the foot of the mountains and two at the bottom.

How to play Tripeaks Solitaire?

What is the mechanics of Tripeaks solitaire ? You have to remove all the elements and put them on the mentioned common pile. Sort them in such a way that each subsequent element is 1 higher or lower in value than the previous one. From aces, through denominations of 2-10, to jacks, queens and kings - each has two neighbors in the hierarchy. However, watch out for specific variations of the game in which the deck does not loop - in this case, only two can deal with an ace, and a queen with a queen. However, if you choose the Basic difficulty level just to gain some insight into the subject, you shouldn't run into any problems.

A row or pile of additional cards is in theory auxiliary, so if you are extremely lucky, you don't have to use them at all. In practice, randomly placing the cards gives an extremely small chance of this happening, but it is not impossible. If you're betting on the virtual version of the game, you don't have to shuffle your deck or worry about the layout - everything will be ready for you. Choose only the difficulty level that suits you and start having fun!

Start by finding some kind of attachment point. The card that appeared at the bottom is a four? Great - now look for a three or five of any color, located at the bottom of the mountain range. Once you get it, you can continue in the same order, so the example compilation could look like this - four, five, four, three, two, ace, king, queen, king (in case of looping possible).

Remember that if you lack the possibility of moving, you can use the bank - however, the whole thing is scrolled only once and when it runs out, game over ! So combine it in such a way that everything can be neatly combined. An empty board is the most pleasant sight!
