Gin rummy rules
Traditional Rummy is a card game for a minimum of two people, which consists of putting your cards together in different hands. Participants exchange cards until one of them "knocks".
The object of the game is to get rid of any cards or other elements that will replace them. In the list with a total of 0 you will get the so-called "rummy". In the browser version, which is the equivalent of the rummy game, you don't have to date anyone and you don't need your cards!
How to play rummy?
The basic move is to take a card from one of the pools (face-up or face-down), add it to your card pool, and then put one of them on the face-up stack. If a draw is made from the discard pile, you must put down a different card than the one drawn as per the Rummy game rule .
At the beginning of a rummy game, the drawing of a card looks a bit different. The dealer 's opponent may take the face - up card first, but does not have to use it. The dealer can then pick up the card. In a situation where they both give up, it is up to the opponent of the dealer who takes one card from the closed pile. When a player takes a face-up card and puts another card in place, it is the opponent's move. The player can continue trading cards to get a better result.
After the knocker has dealt, the same is done by his opponent. If the tapping person did not have a total of 0, the rules of the rummy game allow his opponent to add his spare cards to the rival's sets. In a situation where the player's task is to draw a card, but there are two cards in a closed pile, the game is interrupted and another, new hand follows, in which the dealer does not change.
The player who takes a card from the pile may put a sequence from his hand on the table, i.e. at least three cards of the same color or a set of at least 3 cards of the same value. Rummy rule is that an ace can be either the beginning of a sequence continued by a two and three, or the end of a straight sequence with a king placed in front of it. In order to show the first cards, the player must collect at least one clean (i.e. without using the Joker) sequence, as well as any number of sets. The total value of the cards after adding up must be at least 51 points.
What are the rules for counting points while playing rummy?
If the player called tappers has not scored a rummy, but has earned the total value of his free cards, with a total lower than that scored by his opponent, he will be awarded a number of points equal to the difference between the two sums. However, if he has a rummy, his points are equal to the value of his opponent's free cards. Additionally, he also gets 25 bonus points.
Conversely, when the tapping person has not accumulated a rummy and the total value of the opponent's free cards is less than or the same as the tapping player, the opponent will receive points, the value of which is the difference of the sums. Additionally, he will receive 25 bonus points. The rummy game continues until a player scores at least 100 points.
Who wins in rummy?
Final settlement follows the game. The rules of the game of rummy dictate that the winner will receive 100 bonus points and a bonus of 100 points if the opponent has not scored any points. Each participant gets 25 points for the hand they win. Your opponent's scores are subtracted from your winning points to determine your winning margin.
One of the online versions of the rummy game is Rummy Multiplayer. It is a great simulator of real competition, what is important - it is very intuitive and does not require knowledge of all the rules. You can choose from three game modes: multiplayer, against the computer, or with a friend playing on the same device. Your task is to create a combination according to the previously presented rules. At the beginning, each player is dealt 10 cards.
