Blackjack rules

Blackjack is one of the most popular casino card games that is also popular with browser apps. Its main goal is to beat the dealer by getting a sum close to or equal to 21. If this value is exceeded, you lose. The essence of the game of blackjack is also the mentioned competition with the dealer and not with other participants.

To understand the rules of blackjack , you need to know the score for each piece. Blot cards have a value equal to the number, which means that, for example, a six gives 6 points. The Jack, Queen and King, on the other hand, each have 10 points. The best card may be an ace that gives 1 or 11 points - the player chooses the value depending on the need.

How to play blackjack?

Blackjack games are started by the dealer who deals two cards from at least one deck to himself and the player. He himself plays with one card face down and the other face up. Meanwhile, both player cards are face up. By having one card face down, the dealer has an advantage. For this reason, it is worth preparing a scenario for playing specific hands in advance.

The rules of blackjack dictate that a player should make one of five moves. The first is the stand option which means the dealer will not give him any more cards. The second is a hit, that is, taking another card. The third step is a situation where a player has been dealt two cards and wants to double the stake, i.e. a double down. Then the value of the initial bet increases by 100%, but the player is dealt only one card and with three cards he ends the game.

The fourth possible solution is split. When a contestant is dealt two cards of equal value, he may split the bet. In this case, the dealer puts one card on each card, then taking an additional bet equal to the original. The fifth step that a participant can take under the rules of blackjack to insurance, which is to insure himself when the dealer's face up card is an ace.

This is a bet where you are betting that the down card is 10 points, with a stake of exactly half the original bet. If this is the case and the dealer has blackjack, the player receives twice the money wagered, losing the basic hand. The insurance works by making the player break even.

When does the game of blackjack end?

When the player has finished drawing more cards, is satisfied with his hand or has exceeded 21 points, it is the dealer's turn to move. He reveals a card facedown and draws another card until he has 17 or more points. The results of the player and the dealer are then compared. The rules of blackjack distinguish three possible variants in which the player wins.

The first situation is when he has an ace, and also one of the cards worth 10 points, when the dealer doesn't have them. The second possibility is when the player has less or 21 points and the dealer exceeds that number. The third variant is when they both have less than 21 points, but the player has more. At other times, there is a tie or the player loses.
