The rules of the game in a thousand
If you spent a lot of time in the company of adults in your childhood, you will surely remember a thousand - a dynamic, interesting card game. Nothing stands in the way of refreshing the basic rules and playing a game with friends or online. It's a great way to stop boredom, allowing you to use your free afternoon in a creative way and practice your logical thinking skills.
The rules of the game in a thousand, despite the troublesome terminology, are very simple. To start the game, you need a four-color deck of twenty-four cards. However, the value of individual markings is different in this game than in others, so pay special attention to it. Nines give 0 points, jacks (so-called jopki) 2 points, queens (i.e. queen or rider) 3 points, king 4 points, tens 10 points and finally an ace - 11 points. Jokers are not used in the game.
However, the values given above may decrease or increase during the game, e.g. when you pair the king and queen of a specific color, i.e. the so-called check-in. In the case of spades it is 40 points, clubs 60 points, diamonds 80 points, and hearts 100 points. Learning all these numbers is crucial to winning, because with each hand you have to declare how many points you intend to score.
Before you start the game, the deck should be thoroughly shuffled, mainly to avoid the influence of the arrangement of cards on possible reports. The first time the shuffler is selected randomly and then clockwise. In addition, she should obligatorily offer the player sitting to her right a deck shift. The number of cards dealt "per head" is not accidental. If there are two or two players, each of them should receive 10 cards, and the remaining 4 are put on two face-down piles, i.e. musts. In the 3-player version, players are dealt 7 cards, and the rest land on one must.
Then the players go to the auction, which consists in selecting the so-called playing or "walking". It is this person who takes the muscle and starts the game, which gives you a big advantage. The difficulty is that the winner will be required to score as many points as declared, because if they fail to do so, they will be deducted from the score. Bidding - with the word "one hundred" (regardless of the actual value in the cards) - is started by the person to the left of the dealer. Successive players may fold or raise the offer, usually not exceeding the value by more than 10, although it depends on the decisions of the opponents on the card.
The winner of the auction reveals the cards with musk and adds them to the others held in hand. Then he chooses the two least useful cards and gives or puts away to his opponents. Regardless of the number of players, each of them should therefore have 8 cards. When that happens, the game can finally begin. First, the level of the game is determined, that is, the number of points that the winner of the auction is targeting during a given hand is declared. It cannot be lower than the sum bid previously and must be divided by 10. Then the so-called. trick (i.e. turns), and the leading player plays the card first.
The players to the left of the player add their tips, taking into account that the element added must have the same color as the first one and should have an older figure. If not, the player in question loses and the player with the best card collects the entire pool of cards. Therefore, the easiest way to win a trick is to use the aforementioned meld. After playing all the turns, it is time to count the points and choose the winner.
At this stage, you add up the values of all cards collected from individual battles and add points for reports. All players, except for the resulting number, add to their account, rounding it up to 10. However, in the case of the winner of the bidding, the matter is different. If he has reached the declared number of points, he adds them to his score. If he failed in this art, he must subtract it. The whole process is repeated until the winner reaches the 1,000 point mark.
