The rules of the game of dominoes
The rich history of the game of Domino, probably dating back to ancient times, has influenced the enormity of gameplay variants with which you can pass the time on a tedious afternoon. Two people and a set of tiles are enough to provide yourself with an addictive mathematical puzzle for hours, developing the skill of logical thinking.
And if you've already eaten the classic version of the game in question, go for more sophisticated variations such as Matador and Muggins. You don't have a set of so-called stones? You can always play Dominoes online !
Regardless of the version you prefer, the start of the game is very similar. The set of 28 tiles are numerically rotated down. If more than four players want to take part in the game, it is worth reaching for an additional set. Each person should draw one stone - the game of Domino is started by whoever obtains the highest number of points. The tiles are then returned to the pool and re-shuffled for the players clockwise to draw their full set.
Depending on the number of participants, there are usually about 7 stones per head. The remaining tiles in the pool are called voucher. The rules of playing Domino are extremely simple. Two types of stones deserve attention: completely unmarked, the so-called a soap and a doublet that has the same number of meshes in both squares. The person who starts the game places a stone of his choice, and the rest of the game is to match his own tile to the tile, in a manner appropriate to the adopted rules.
The classic game of Domino is to arrange the stones so that the adjoining fields have the same number of meshes. Players can add their tiles to both ends of the pipe being created. If a person does not find an appropriate element in his set, he can choose it from the pool. If it fails, it skips the turn or chooses the next stone depending on the rules. The goal of the game is to get rid of all your kit.
An interesting, slightly more advanced variation of the Domino game is Matador. The stones are added in such a way that the sum of the pips on the squares placed against each other is 7. Because if the game was drawn, the game would end, the so-called matadors, i.e. stones with a numerical value of 0-0, 1-6, 2-5 or 3-4, which are placed across the empty tiles. Then put on the other side an element with the same number of meshes.
Muggins is an equally interesting variety. Although in this game the stones are placed in the same way as in the classic Domino, only those combinations in which the total number of stitches at the end can be divided by 5 are scored. Doublets are placed crosswise, then all stitches are counted; in practice, this means that if there is a 2-2 stone on one side of the row and a 3-3 stone on the other, the player will get 2 + 2 + 3 + 3 = 10, 10/5 = 2 points.
When the doublet is placed first, it thus opens the four-sided chain. This means that stones can be placed alongside or across it, and points are added from all open ends. If you want to provide yourself with a special experience, you can modify the game of Domino Muggins as you like, e.g. instead of fulfilling the condition with a divisibility of 5, choose the necessity to divide by 2 or 3.
Even dominoes , on the other hand, are a game designed for two players, whose task is to form six stones or five pairs of randomly selected dominoes. Two tiles with the same numerical values are placed on the table with their longer sides to each other. If a player is unable to make more sets of his stones, he may take more from the pool. Sometimes it will be impossible to make exactly five sets - in such a case, the person who is closer to that number wins.
You will also distinguish games in Domino Bergen, Sevastopol, or variants originating in France, Hungary and Italy. Such a huge range will allow you to choose the game ideally suited to your level of advancement, preferences and age. This game is perfect for both youngest and older players who want to spend their time in a productive way.
